The thing is, there’s no “best” anything when it comes to advice on our wardrobes. The absolute best item is the one that fits our body well and it’s the best quality we are willing to purchase at the phase we are in life right now. Because “the best” is just like “perfect” - it doesn’t exist, otherwise we’d stop chasing it.
On this note, below is a list of my personal best wardrobe staples. I prefer bullet points to long prose when it comes to fashion/clothes a lot of the times, and I will leave you with some of my favorite looks of late as well. {I haven’t been in the mood for instagram for a few months now. Anyone feeling drained by this app? It used to be so much fun, now I find it very blah… why do I have to see weird news and content and people I don’t follow? Where are the posts of my friends and of the fashion girls I actually do follow? Very random algorithm, very unpleasant, very blah. Moving on..}
Some of my staples are not exactly conventional per se, as my favorite black skirt is actually a sequin one. I have found myself reaching for this one more often this year, because it’s the farthest thing from a boring wardrobe staple (for me).
I like to look at what I have and how much I’ve worn things and what is modern (but not trendy), and update my wardrobe accordingly. This is something I do once per year, not every season (unless something really needs replacing).
